LTC Lakin and Mr. Jensen will be on the Barry Farber radio tonight at 2000.

Apparently the “embarrsassment” language was intended by the judge to alert Congress that they need to begin impeachment proceedings.

Note, it is Article 46, UCMJ, 10 U.S. Code 846.

I am not sure why he is compared to Spartacus, who likely died when the Romans broke down the uprising and nailed the 6000 survivors to the cross, along the road from Rome to the city where the uprising had started.

Not a very good comparison. Furthermore Spartacus was a warrior not a physician

Mebbe the Birfers should research the root word EMBAR before shooting their feet again.

    Em`bar´
    v. t. 1. To bar or shut in; to inclose securely, as with bars.
    [imp. & p. p. Embarred ; p. pr. & vb. n. Embanking.]
Where fast embarred in mighty brazen wall.
    – Spenser.
    2. To stop; to hinder by prohibition; to block up.
    He embarred all further trade.
    – Bacon.

I disagree. Mister Birther and his ilk WOULD like to picture themselves as crucified at the end of the road – Victory or Death.
It adds a bit of dash to what otherwise would be a run of the mill “Private Deserts Army” Court-Marshal
It also gives Lakin a vision of himself as the martyr reinforcing his seemingly MAJOR attack of unbridled ego.

  4. Greg says:

Spartacus was, of course, a slave. I wonder whether Lakin sees himself – or the other soldiers serving in the U.S. military – as slaves?

  5. SueDB says:

He should have thought about that when he accepted the money for med school. Of course did it enter his mind when he put up his right hand and and volunteered?
